Privacy notice

What we collect

Everything you enter in the application form: your name, email, phone number, town, studies, social media profiles, your answers about motivation and availability, and your consent.

To stop spam we also keep a one-way fingerprint of your internet address (a hash). We never store the address itself.

Why we collect it

To assess your application to the Student Ambassador Programme and, if you are selected, to run the programme: training, your referral code, contacting you on WhatsApp and by email, and recognising your work.

If you already have a Zigex account with the same email, we link your application to it.

Who sees it

Only the Zigex team. We don't sell or share your information with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Applications that are not selected are deleted 12 months after our decision.

For ambassadors, we keep the information for as long as you are an ambassador and for 12 months after, so we can issue certificates and recommendations.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time. Write to [email protected] from the email you applied with and we'll reply within 30 days.

We process your information in line with Cameroon's Law No. 2024/017 on the protection of personal data.
